The DDP Difference

What is the DDP Difference?

DDP provides a truly “professional experience,” offering instruction for those seeking an advanced level of achievement in dance and musical theatre.  At DDP, we live our passion each and every day, with programs covering all integral areas of dance training.

While many of our DDP graduates have gone on to successful performing arts careers, every DDP student will learn valuable life lessons in reaching their own personal goals.  At DDP, our top priority is building a team that is cohesive and inclusive, which is why students participate in all classes together (within their respective levels).  In addition, DDP students are encouraged to seek individual excellence through a strong work ethic, perseverance, determination and goal setting.

DDP focuses on the foundational areas of dance training (ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre, hip hop) and has structured a program that integrates all of these dance disciplines.

DDP emphasizes professional etiquette for all DDP students and faculty.

DDP offers two different approaches to dance instruction.  DDP students can choose between Recreational and Competitive programs.

-Recreational programs are offered for students aged 3-9 with weekly instruction of ballet, tap, jazz and musical theatre.  This program will teach the proper foundations in dance, while maintaining a creative and engaging environment.  In addition to dance, Recreational students will be introduced to singing, acting, jazz technique, stretching, basic tumbling and improvisation.  The Recreational program is a great place for students to start expanding their knowledge and learn the necessary skills required to advance into our Competitive program.

-Competitive programs are offered for students aged 6 and up and have weekly instruction of ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre and hip hop.  The DDP Competitive program is for students looking to challenge themselves and take their dance skills to the next level.  DDP Competitive dancers are placed in varying levels, based on their experience and skill level (audition is required for initial assessment and evaluation).  The DDP Competitive dancers will have the opportunity to compete at various competitions (locally and internationally).
